Buice Pharmacy

Historic Renovation - Mixed Use

Little Rock, Arkansas

Budget $350,000+
Architect: Rogue Architecture
Contractor: Haney Contractors
Completion: Fall 2017

Buice Pharmacy, located in the Stifft Station neighborhood near downtown Little Rock, is an historic unreinforced brick masonry building with heavy timber framing formerly used as a pharmacy that our clients purchased to be their primary residence and investment property. The building includes two commercial spaces at ground level and a second floor apartment that were all fully renovated for modern sensibilities.

This project began as an investment for our clients and quickly became a labor of love to work carefully to restore this beautiful building and give it new life. The second floor apartment was reimagined as a modern residence in an urban setting with careful attention paid to design and layout with transitional detailing.

The first floor initially was left as open shell space in both units, but has since been reimagined as a realtor’s office and retail shop. This building is now part of a series of catalytic restorations that have spurred countless new developments in a once under realized historic neighborhood.
