Canvas Community

Sanctuary and Community Center

Little Rock, Arkansas

Budget $2,500,000+
Architect: Rogue Architecture
Client: United Methodist Church
Completion: Unbuilt Work - Designed in 2016

Canvas Community Church is located on 7th Street in downtown Little Rock and mainly serves the homeless population in the area with ministry, outreach, social services, and compassion. The current building is a historic commercial building within a small historic district near the corner of Chester and 7th with a poorly constructed metal shed addition to one side. The pastor contacted us to help design a new community center and sanctuary for the church that would include: an urgent care center, mental health services, social services, sanctuary, work spaces, offices, and a small cafe.

We provided the overall master plan and renderings to aid the pastor’s fundraising efforts. The project remains unbuilt but is an example of our commitment to creating positive impact in all of the communities we serve through thoughtful and engaging architectural design.
